The Lilolia Rating Explained
On Lilolia, I have decided to go with a rating system broken into 10 parts or bars. The reason being that the 5 star rating has proven to be inadequate in communicating how I feel about certain books. The 10 bars allows me an opportunity to show the degree to which a novel was enjoyed (or not). Below are the explanatory comments for each bar rating:
bar – Such a bad novel I couldn’t finish it. Not recommended.
bars – Readable, but at your own risk.
bars – A below average read. The plot / dialogue / characters needed more work.
bars – An average read. Not bad, not good – just ok.
bars – A satisfactory read with good ideas that could have been better fleshed out.
bars – A good read. Recommended.
bars – An entertaining read with a good flow. An easy and relaxing read. Recommended.
bars – A great read with good plotlines and characters. Recommended.
bars – A fantastic and exciting read with great plotlines, characters, setting, and dialogue. Well written. Highly recommended.
bars – An absolutely incredible read. A must read that leaves you thinking. A very well written and timeless story. Highly recommended.
